Description

Dense and beautifully colored sheepskin rug. The lamb was raised with love and processed on our homestead. The sheepskin was hand-processed from start to finish. No metals were used in the process and the fleece was not scoured, so it contains some natural waxy lanolin on the wool. This helps it remain water repellent and difficult to stain. 

East Friesians have dense wool with a small amount of crimp and obvious locks. This specific rug is dense and very cushiony. 

There is one small hole  in the backside of this rug. It is not noticeable from the wool side. This sheepskin is intended to be a rug. It’s not as supple or flexible as commercialized tanned hides, but it lays nicely on the floor.

Please note, it will take a few weeks of use for it to lay completely flat. Our sheep are also not coated, meaning you may find a small bit of debris (hay, or grass), in the fiber. It’s mostly not noticeable. 

Cleaning instructions: spot cleat any obvious dirt. It’s best to place rug in low trafficked area (bathroom, bedroom, etc) and give it a good shake every once in a while.
