Power up with solar energy harvested from the sun and quench your thirst with fresh water collected from the sky in this off-grid yurt. Spend the day engaging in our hands-on homestead experiences, exploring the food, drink, and culture of our local communities, or touring the gorgeous Oregon coast or Cascade mountains out on your own adventure… Then come back to your little slice of paradise to relax around the firepit for the evening before you drift off to sleep under the silent, starry sky. In the morning, wander the property and see if you can pet the curious alpacas, smell the blooming flowers, and soak in the satisfaction and simplicity of life out here!
The Sauna
Follow the lights along the woodland path to find the rustic sauna tucked in amongst the trees but be careful—this wood-fired steam sauna gets hot, hot, HOT! Enjoy relaxing as the roaring fire in the stove heats you up and, when you’re feeling brave, begin adding water to the rocks to steam up the sauna until you just can’t take it anymore! If you last 10 minutes in the sweltering box, you’ll be very glad that the cold-water shower is right outside the door for you when you get out. This sauna is just the right size to allow 2 folks to lay down or 4 folks to sit comfortably. Of course, out here clothing is always optional!
