It is the SWEETEST time of the year at Mountain in the Mist. Come along as we extract the early season honey from our hives! See every step of the process that goes into making our honey ready to eat. First we must take the frames of honey out of the hives. Then we remove the caps and spin the frames in our centrifuge to get all of the honey out of the cells. The extracted honey is filtered through a mesh bag to remove wax and debris before it is put into jars to be used. We also share how we produce the cut-comb honey with the wax included.
