Description

Dense and beautifully colored sheepskin rug. The lamb was raised with love and processed on our homestead. The sheepskin was hand-processed from start to finish. No metals were used in the process and the fleece was not scoured, so it contains some natural waxy lanolin on the wool. This helps it remain water repellent and difficult to stain. 

This rug is half Icelandic and half East Friesian. It’s very fluffy and a delight to step on.

This sheepskin is intended to be a rug or seat cushion. It’s not as supple or flexible as commercialized tanned hides, but it lays nicely on the floor. 

Approximate dimensions: 45×35 (measured in the longest and widest parts)

Please note, it may take a few weeks of use for it to lay completely flat. Our sheep are also not coated, meaning you may find a small bit of debris (hay, or grass) in the fiber.
